A new name is in the race for County Commission in the 4th district of Rutherford County. Veteran law enforcement officer Jon Frazier announced his candidacy to run as an independent candidate.  The district 4 seat is currently held by Robert Peay who lives in Readyville.

Frazier stated in a press release that he mailed to WGNS, “Party politics should not play a part in local offices where a commissioner should represent all the people who live within the community.” Frazier is a Department of Safety & Homeland Security Terrorism Liaison Officer.
