Murfreesboro man allegedly threatens to kill local police officer

A convicted felon pulled over for reckless driving in Murfreesboro was found to have a loaded shotgun within his reach and a fixed blade knife.

25-Year old Quinton N. Bryant allegedly told Murfreesboro Police Officer J. Watson that he, the officer, ruined his life and that this arrest would take him away from his son. According to the report, “Mr. Bryant then stated I haven’t seen anything yet and when he gets out of jail he is going to kill me,” referring to Officer Johnson.

Bryant was charged with: 

  1. Retaliation for Past Action
  2. Possession of a Weapon by a Felon
  3. Possession of Weapon while intoxicated
  4. Violation of the open container law
  5. Unlawful possession of Weapon

Bryant will appear in court on June 25, 2014. He is currently free after posting a $6,750 bond. As far as why Bryant had the loaded shotgun within his reach, he did not say.
