The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties has announced that it recently received another "seal of approval" from the United Way Worldwide organization for completing a series of thirteen membership requirements set forth to be considered in good standing with the international organization for the most recent year.

"The thumbs up is an indication of the quality of work that our staff exhibits and the quality of benefits that we provide people in the community,” said Phil Holt, United Way Board Chair.

The United Way “thumbs up” approval reflects excellence in thirteen areas that include financial management, governance, legal and ethical practices, brand management, and community impact. The local United Way participates in a rigorous annual evaluation that determines this status.
