A trio of shoplifters hit a Murfreesboro Target Store and the same three are suspected of hitting stores in not only Tennessee, but also in Ohio and several other states.

The loss prevention employee at Target told police in Murfreesboro that the subjects entered the Old Fort Parkway store and stole at least four cell phones with a combined retail value of over $2,600. As it was described in the actual report, two women and a male walked into the store and put the phones in their purses. The male accomplice stood by as the thefts were occurring.

The report that WGNS obtained on Tuesday shows that the three had a special device used to unlock the sophisticated locking mechanism on expensive electronic merchandise at stores like Target. According to the paperwork from the police department, the device can also double as a potential weapon.

To date, no arrests have been made.
