Oct 05, 2014 at 02:36 pm by Bryan Barrett

Ann Wigmore is quoted as saying: "The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison." Our population's health is in a crisis and getting worse. Much has to do with what we eat. Linebaugh Public Library is pleased to host Dr. Thea Carner on Tuesday, October 14, at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Carner will be offering a free workshop on Cooking for Health: Healing Foods and Spices, where participants can learn the basics of nutrition and specific foods that can help heal the body. Come and discover that eating healthy can be easy, delicious, and most importantly, an aid in healing.

Dr. Thea Carner began her career as a Doctor of Chiropractic in Chicago, where she was an active member of the Foundation for Wellness Professionals, a nonprofit organization focused on health and community outreach. She has been a featured speaker for the past ten years on wellness topics, including nutrition, alternative therapies, headaches, and low back pain. She moved to Tennessee two years ago and continues her passion of spreading health and wellness to the community. Dr. Carner currently practices at Laser Therapy & Chiropractic Center in Murfreesboro.

This event is free and open to the public in the Linebaugh Reading Room on the 2nd floor.
