11-year-old Nathan Long, who has been missing from his North Nashville home since Monday night, has been located safe in Atlanta.
Atlanta Police officers saw Long walking in downtown Atlanta early Tuesday morning. He did not tell officers his real name and when they could not verify who he was, Nathan was placed into the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in Atlanta.
Nathan told authorities in Atlanta that he took the Megabus from Nashville to Atlanta and that he lived in Indianapolis. A DFCS caseworker learned of Long's disappearance in Nashville and a short time ago, sent a photo of him to Youth Services detectives who, along with Long's mother, positively identified him. Nathan's mother also spoke to him on the phone.
