Want to exercise, have fun and travel the world? Be a part of the Cripple Creek Cloggers by taking their free lessons Tuesday nights at 7:30 now through March 10th. Clogging classes are taught at 710 E. Vine Street.
Founder and Director Steve Cates told NewsRadio WGNS that the Cripple Creek Cloggers were formed 48-years ago as a 4-H project at Kittrell Elementary School.
He said, "The troupe has been invited to bring Appalachian dancers and musicians in April to festivals in Cairo, Egypt and that will be a matter of immediate attention."
In addition, throughout 2015 the Cripple Creek Cloggers will share Appalachian style dancing and music in local performances, regional shows, hosting of International Folkfest during June 7-14, and international travel.
