Murfreesboro Police catch robbery suspect in the middle of a robbery

A 36-year old Murfreesboro resident is facing two aggravated robbery charges after being arrested.

The robbery in question unfolded on Battle Avenue. Police showed up as the robbery was taking place.

According to the report that WGNS obtained, "Sgt. Jeff Baskette arrived at the scene and observed a black male in the back seat of a red vehicle holding the front seat driver's hair holding a gun pointed at the driver. Sgt. Baskette asked the back seat passenger to drop the weapon and placed him in custody."

The Murfreesboro Sargent was able to recover over $1,800 in jewelry that the suspect had in his possession.

Arrested was 36-year old Tyangus Deering of Bradyville Pike. He will appear in court on February 25, 2015.
