Around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon (12/24/2015), Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department rushed to a house fire at 1130 Silverado Way. They were on the scene within 4-minutes.

Commander Dale Maynard told NewsRadio WGNS, "The firefighters did a great job to get the fire under control quickly to confine the fire to the garage and attic above."

The two-story home was on Silverado Way, near Osborne Lane. District 8, District 6, Engine 1 and Rescue 7 could see heavy black smoke before arriving on the scene.

The fire may have started in the garage, but most of the home is undamaged. Fire Investigator Carl Peas conducted a routine investigation into the cause.

Two adults and two children have been displaced, and are being assisted by the Heart of Tennessee Chapter of the Red Cross. Power in the home will remain off until a through inspection is made.
