Spock (Leonard Nimoy) Dies

Leonard Nimoy, who is remembered by many as Mr. Spock in Star-Trek, has died at the age of 83.

The internationally followed pop culture actor was hospitalized last week after complaining of chest pain.

The sci-fi legend was diagnosed with COPD I(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) a year ago in January (2014).

He was born in Boston to Jewish immigrants from Russia. He appeared in local theatre and was on TV and movies by age 20. After two-years in the Army, Leonard Nimoy had roles in Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Bonanza, Dragnet and Perry Mason.

His life was much like the phrase best remembered spoken by Mr. Spock: "Live long, and prosper". In fact, when Nimoy was on social media, he would always end with "LLAP"

Leonard Nimoy, an actor who has touched many lives, is dead at the age of 83. He's survived by his wife, actress Susan Bay, two children and several grandchildren.
