Public Concerns

During a 20-minute segment of Monday's WGNS' Action Line radio show took phone calls from listeners about areas they felt could be improved in this community.

Here are their responses:

Blackman Road: dangerous for more than a year and if you have a small trailer it's more dangerous (from Blackman service station to Baker Rd.) it is so narrow there is no error for mistakes. No shoulders, just drop off.

School Zones: The flashing lights are not always seen, and perhaps a strobe light on it would be seen better and have a flashing light on both sides of the sign.

Speed Limit Sign: when you pass sign and don't see it, paint lines on side of road in a color that indicates speed.

Barfield Crescent Rd.: Need a sign telling that a road is coming out Veterans Parkway at Barfield Crescent, can't see what is coming around curve.

Striping on Barfield Crescent Rd. needs needs repainting--can't see it at night or in rain.

Halls Hill Pike lines need re-painting as well--can't see them at night or in rain either.
