Saturday Morning Shooting At Smyrna Apartment

Around 1:30 Saturday morning, Smyrna Police were called to an apartment complex in response to a male being shot. Once on-the-scene they discovered a 16-year old male who had been seriously wounded.

Sergeant Bobby Gibson told NewsRadio WGNS that the teen was seriously wounded and was rushed to a trauma center.

A person described earlier as a person of interest was brought-in for questions. Sergeant Gibson notes that he is cooperating and is no longer in the wanted category.

Detectives continue their investigation at the Kings Crest Apartment at 630 Windellwood Circle in Smyrna, Tennessee.
