Comcast's Director of Public Relations Sara Jo Walker and Senior Director of Government Affairs Russell Byrd, joined Murfreesboro elected officials and community partners this morning for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to open its new Xfinity Customer Center. The event took place at Comcast's new 4,200-square foot space, located at 521 North Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro. During the ceremony, two Rutherford County high school seniors were recognized as the 2015 Comcast Leaders and Achievers scholarship winners in Rutherford County and were awarded $1,000 college scholarships.

Attendees included Murfreesboro's Mayor Shane McFarland, Councilmembers and the Cable TV committee members of the City of Murfreesboro, and representatives from the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rutherford County, the Tennessee Cable Telecommunications Association, Rutherford County Schools and the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.

"We are excited to welcome Comcast's new Xfinity Customer Center to the Murfreesboro community," said Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland. "Comcast has been a great community partner and we appreciate their commitment to improve the customer service experience for our residents."
