Murfreesboro resident writes the next original TV comedy series, Almost There

DirecTV has set its next original comedy series, Almost There, starring the Good Wife's Steven Pasquale. The show is created/executive produced by Kim Highers-Cella, Debbie Baldwin and Jace Alexander. Kim Highers-Cella is from Murfreesboro, TN and is the daughter of Gloria and Jimmy Highers. She graduated from Riverdale High School in 1983, and Vanderbilt University in 1987. In 2005, she earned her Masters Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where she currently lives. Kim has 2 daughters, Katharine and Annabelle, who attend Vanderbilt University.

Almost There will premiere Fall 2015 and also stars Chris Fitzgerald, Maddie Corman and Susan Watson opposite Pasquale. Jane Alexander, Terry Kinney, Trieste Kelly-Dunn and James McDaniel are among the show's recurring guest stars.
Written by Highers-Cella and Baldwin, Almost There tells the story of Jackson Cooper (Pasquale), a handsome, single psychiatrist living in NYC. Serial dating and workaholic behavior have successfully helped him avoid long-term commitments, until he meets the girl of his dreams. Unfortunately, he fails to get her number or any other information. The series follows Jackson on his quest to find her and finally go about the task of finding himself. Fitzgerald and Watson play Jackson's neighbors, and Corman plays a co-worker.
