Roy Rogers Day This Saturday at 1 in Patterson Community Center

In the days of cowboy movies, the "good guys" always came out on top. At 1:00 o'clock this Saturday afternoon (8/6/11) you'll have an opportunity to step back in time for a Roy Rogers Tribute in the theatre at the Patterson Community Center (521 Mercury Boulevard). 

The $5 admission lets you enjoy the King of the Cowboys first starring movie roll in the classic "Under Western Stars". The afternoon of fun doesn't stop there. Cheryl Rogers-Barnett will be there to tell what it was like growing-up with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans as your parents. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and talk with her about memories of her famous parents.

In addition to the western movie, Ralph Edwards popular 1952 television show "This Is Your Life" that united Roy with people in his life will be shown. Roy and Dale had big hearts, and their loving nature touched the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. This couple routinely visited sick and dying children, and were frequently called-on to lend their support for special needs children.
