?What happens to a teacher when one of their students becomes famous? Siegel High School Choral Director Brenda Gregory was giving a pop-up music lesson at the CMA Festival Saturday, when former student Chris Young arrived.

It was emotional when the Grammy nominated singer-songwriter thanked Gregory for her hard work, and then presented a $2,500 grant from Farmers Insurance to fund her classroom needs at Siegel.

Farmers Insurance has a big yellow school bus touring America while encouraging everyone to let our teachers know how much they are appreciated. In fact, the corporation is showing its appreciation with more than words. Farmers Insurance is awarding educators $1-million in grants to help cover needed teaching supplies.
