Focus on MTSU

Jun 15, 2015 at 09:05 am by Bryan Barrett

8:10AM MTSU University College Dean Dr. Mike Boyle tells of a new pilot program where high school junior and seniors can take university level on-line courses and get both high school and college credit. The beauty is that a student can have enough credit to make them a college sophomore when they begin their first year. The goal is to still go to MTSU for 4-years, but to get the undergrad degree in 3-years, since they start as a sophomore, and then finish a master's degree in their fourth year.

8:25AM Homer Pittard Campus School 4th grade teacher David Lockett tells about the STEM Summer Camp that is in progress throughout June at MTSU. STEM is science, technology, engineering and math skills.

8:40AM MTSU Professor of Business Communications and Entrepreneurship Dr. Wayne Rollins discusses the traits of being an entrepreneur and a new book that he co-authored with Gary Bently: Million Dollar Turtles.
