Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center recently received a $5,000 investment from Pinnacle Financial Partners to support children in need receiving speech therapy services from Special Kids in Murfreesboro.
The investment will help the local nonprofit to continue providing professional speech therapy to the 141 children it currently serves, regardless of a family's ability to pay.
"Our community is anchored by many people and organizations who have created a culture of caring," said Chris Truelove, Special Kids Executive Director. "Pinnacle Financial Partners are among the leaders of establishing the culture of caring we experience. Bill Jones and his team have walked with and supported Special Kids and enabled us to be the hands and feet of caring to the families who have children with special needs."
Speech therapy is the largest service offered at Special Kids with the number of children it sees continuing to rise. As the need for this service increases, so does the deficit the nonprofit incurs from seeing each child in need. Through the support of Pinnacle Financial Partners and other supporters in the community, Special Kids is able to focus on the needs of the children and families rather than financial constraints.
"Our desire is to meet the need of every child that comes our way," said Stephanie Folkmann, Special Kids Director of Development. "We are so thankful to have Pinnacle Financial Partners by our side to help us meet that goal."
