After several days of torrential rain, Saturday (6/27/2015) night's Main Street Murfreesboro's "THE Summer Party, A Taste of Rutherford" was perfect.

The earlier storms cool the scorching days. A gentle breeze with temps in the mid 70s made for a perfect evening at historic Farmington, the home of Frank Fly and Suzanne Williams. It is located at 3600 Manchester Pike was influenced by the Greek Revival style and dates back to 1816.

Main Street Director Kathleen Herzog noted, "Proceeds from the annual event provide funds necessary for the organization to continue its mission of maintaining, enhancing, and promoting the historic downtown (Murfreesboro) as the heart of the community."

Food was provided by Murfreesboro's top restaurants and caterers. The delicious entrees and deserts were served to the bluegrass tempos of The Back 80 band (www.back80bluegrass.com)
