Environmental Education Outdoor Classroom Fun for the Week

Jun 29, 2015 at 08:36 am by Bryan Barrett

The Environmental Education Outdoor Classroom, located across from the Farmers' Market at the Extension Office at 315 John R. Rice Boulevard, will host several fun activities this week.

The feature activity for Tuesday, June 30, is called Wow, Wetland in a Pan. This will allow participants to explore the mysteries of wetlands and their importance to habitats, clean water, and ecosystems.

In addition, the Outdoor Classroom always offers free activities for kids of all ages and the young at heart. The goal is to educate about the importance of recycling and water quality in a friendly, hands-on way to engage young minds.

Friday, July 3, the Outdoor Classroom will be closed due to the July 4th holiday. But activities will resume the following week.
