Massive Expansion Underway at Ford of Murfreesboro

Jul 01, 2015 at 09:19 pm by Bryan Barrett

July first brought more growth to the Heart of Tennessee. Ford of Murfreesboro broke ground on their massive new facility. It will be located adjacent to the existing facility on the corner of Northwest Broad Street and Northfield Boulevard.

David Lee, Owner of Ford of Murfreesboro said, "We are extremely proud to be bringing the very latest in dealership design and technology to Murfressboro."

He noted that the new facility will employ approximately 150 to 175 people and will add some 40-50 local jobs to the economy. It will include a 50 bay service department, internet cafe, massive showroom and covered vehicle delivery area.

The new facility dwarfs the current Ford dealership and will be almost 70,000 square feet in size.

When asked about the decision to remain on Northfield at Broad, Lee said, "That was really a no-brainer. We wanted to stay in city center as we feel that the mix of commercial and residential in the area really adds to the vibrance of the community. By staying in the heart of Murfreesboro we become one of the city's only remaining hometown dealers."

Ford of Murfreesboro will also be taking over the adjacent neighboring auto facility on Broad Street and in the end will offer 24 ½ acres of Fords across the entire Northfield and Broad corner.

The all new Ford of Murfreesboro is scheduled to open in late Spring of 2016.

In the meantime Lee states:"We are open for business and making great deals on new and used cars and trucks. Service, parts and body shop continue to offer the world class experience people are accustomed to from our facility."

Lee concluded, "We are proud to be a part of the future of the City of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County and look forward to doing so for decades to come."
