In celebration of Uncle Dave Macon Days, Oaklands Mansion will be open extended hours of 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10th and again on Saturday, July 11th.

Uncle Dave Macon Days, a world famous music festival in celebration of Murfreesboro's own Dixie Dewdrop, began as an afternoon banjo pickin' contest on the East side of the Rutherford County courthouse in July 1978.

Once you have enjoyed the car show, some music and the historic photography exhibit "Macon Memories" at Cannonsburgh Village, come and take a trip back in time at Oaklands Mansion.

"We are so excited to celebrate Uncle Dave Macon Days, such an important part of our community's heritage. We welcome everyone to come to Oaklands and experience our town's rich history," said James Manning, Executive Director of Oakland Historic House Museum.

Enjoy extended hours on July 10th and 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a tour from one of our guides who brings history to life! Tour admission is $15 per adult, $12 for seniors and $6 for students over the age of 5. Show your Uncle Dave Macon Days ticket and receive $5 off your admission!
