La Vergne has talent - or they will on September 19 when the former stars of "America's Got Talent" take the stage during the 2015 Old Timers Festival. The city has tentatively confirmed The Willis Clan as the headliner performance, moving the original festival date back one week to accommodate the musicians.

The family-friendly group currently stars in its own television show called The Willis Family on the TLC Network. The television crew may be on-hand at the festival to film the family and their performance in La Vergne. The Willis Clan made it to the quarter-finals of America's Got Talent during the ninth season in 2014 and they regularly appear on the Grand Ole Opry Show.

"We are very pleased to bring The Willis Clan to La Vergne," said Mayor Dennis Waldron. "This will be a real treat to our citizens when the 12-member group performs and we are happy to welcome these talented musicians to our city."

The theme of the 2015 Old Timers Festival is "A Moment in Time." The day will begin with the annual parade at 10:00 a.m. in which the members of the La Vergne Senior Center are grand marshals. The festival will be open immediately at Veterans Memorial Park after the parade ends. Winners of the Miss La Vergne pageant will also be featured in the parade. The pageants and baby show are scheduled on August 22 at La Vergne High School.

"We will have entertainment throughout the day including a very talented country-comedy group called Us Two and Him, as well as a popular animal show," said A.C. Davis, director of the Parks & Recreation Department. "The event also features craft artisans, food vendors, local civic groups and churches, and businesses. Just be sure to change your schedules to show the festival is on September 19!"
