A 41-year old Greenland Drive woman was arrested after Murfreesboro Police allegedly found her to be in possession of a jar of meth. Officer Jacob Fountain reports he was on directed patrol on Friday and just after 4:15, responded to a disturbance call. He says he saw a woman, identified as Becky Lee Bess, walking away from the scene. Fountain reports when he got out of his patrol car, she allegedly threw a glass jar. When he looked at the jar, he noticed a coffee filter and meth inside it. Bess told the officer the disturbance at the corner of Greenland and Leaf Avenue was with a man, who gave her the meth. Fountain reports he spoke with the man, who had a conflicting story. He said Bess flagged him down and yelled at him and no meth was exchanged. After being arrested on charges of possession of meth and tampering with evidence, it was also discovered Bess was wanted on two other charges. She will be in court on the various drug-related charges November 11th.
