Board-Certified Neurologist Paul Buechel, M.D., has joined the staff at Saint Thomas Health Medical Partners. He brings more than 20 years of medical experience to the growing practice.

Dr. Buechel attended Lemoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y., where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the State University of New York Health Science Center, receiving his medical degree in 1991. After pursuing his medical degree, Dr. Buechel took an internal medicine internship at Robert Packer Hospital/Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Penn., before studying at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for his residency in neurology.

Dr. Buechel is currently board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Prior to joining Saint Thomas Medical Partners, he worked as a staff neurologist with KCA Neurology in Franklin. Additionally, Dr. Buechel often contributes to the Williamson County Health Department, where he has worked as a volunteer neurology specialist for indigent and immigrant populations for the past ten years.

A lover of all things outdoors, Dr. Buechel spends his free time hiking, hunting and fishing with his family. He also serves on the board of The Classical Academy, in Franklin.
