Rutherford County School Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Student Services Paula Barnes

Ms. Barnes tells about recruitment, and there are approximately 5,000 persons employed by the Rutherford County School system. 3,500 of that total are teachers and the 1,500 balance is made-up of nurses, office workers, cafeteria employees and other non-teaching positions.

She talks about the school's of excellence and how they open doors for local students: McFadden Magnet School of Excellence, Thurman Francis Arts Academy, Homer Pittard Campus School and Central Magnet Middle and High School.
