The Murfreesboro Fire Department is honoring those who made the supreme sacrifice on 9/11. Assistant Chief and Public Information Officer Allen Swader said the event will be at 10:00 o'clock Friday morning, September 9th.

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department and Murfreesboro Police Department, in conjunction with other Rutherford County emergency agencies, will be conducting a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the Rutherford County Courthouse.

Swader concluded, "We would like you to join us in remembering the fallen firefighters, police, emergency medical services, armed forces, and victims of the events that occurred on September 11, 2001." MFRD Honor Guard will be presenting colors in addition to a bagpiper playing “Taps.”
