Rutherford County Ranks 14th in the Nation for Job Growth

CNN Money Magazine has ranked Rutherford County 14th in the nation for job growth. The magazine stated that job growth in Rutherford County was 37.4%. The article stated that Nissan is part of the reason for the job growth because they chose Smyrna to build a new $2-billion dollar plant for the new Leaf electric car production. The new Leaf calls for an added 1,300 employees. The article also sites NHK Spring bringing in 200-new jobs. The article further states that that Rutherford County has an ambitious  five-year development plan calls for the creation of 5,000 jobs.
