Perhaps the Bible should be read by the reported assailants?

On Monday evening around 6, a 36-year old Murfreesboro man was standing outside of Altitude Apartments on Bradyville Pike where he says he was attacked. One of three assailants punched the victim in the face and when he fell to the ground, the other assailants allegedly continued to punch and kick the victim.

The victim had only a pocket Bible and his cellphone with him, but told responding officers that he handed both over in hopes the attack would end. The three men, all looking to be 15 to 18-years old, grabbed the Bible and the cellphone and ran.

After the attack the victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Detectives are investigating the case, but so far, no arrests have been made.
