Dog Killed By Bow and Arrow In Cason Lane Area

Nov 16, 2015 at 10:47 pm by Bryan Barrett

A local woman who was walking her two dogs near a wooded area off of Cason Lane this past Saturday afternoon said that someone shot her dog. Her 6-year old Border Collie ran from the open field into an adjoining wooded area and then Hiromi Sato told police that she heard two yelps of pain and ran to discover an arrow through Mimi's torso.

Police were called, but there was no way to save the pet.

In the police report, Sato told officers that she has taken her pets on a leash for walks in that area on a regular basis. The pets are set free to run in the open field, but no problems have ever arisen in the past.

She wants dog owners in the neighborhood to know that a very sick person is in the area.

Since officials are not aware of any eye witnesses to this cruel animal abuse case, Murfreesboro Police are seeking the public's help. Phone your tips to CrimeStoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867) and remain anonymous.
