Public Meeting for Murfreesboro Sign Ordinance Deferred

Nov 19, 2015 at 09:02 pm by Bryan Barrett

A public meeting was held at the Murfreesboro City Council meeting to determine the regulations for the Murfreesboro Sign Ordinance. Three people came forward with their concerns about the regulations, and before the meeting was adjourned councilman Bill Shacklett asked for the meeting to be deferred until the next meeting because of inaccurate information posted on the councilman's website. The reason is for not having proper access to the sign ordinance information. The Council decided to table the public meeting.

This all follows after numerous public meetings between the Murfreesboro Planning Commission and City staff and subsequent revisions to the originally proposed City Sign Ordinance amendments. The Council will meet again about the sign ordinance on December 3rd, 2015.
