The Murfreesboro Center for the Arts opened Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" Friday (12/4/2015) night to a packed house. In addition to the tremendous holiday musical, the spirit of the season was enjoyed throughout the evening with Yuletide favorites being sung in the gallery.

This was a challenging production to take on, since most viewers have an image of the movie in their minds. Our hats off to the cast, who did a tremendous job of creating the same mood to the audience members. All of the thespians were exceptional, especially the General, his granddaughter, the innkeeper, and of course the parts of the Haynes sisters, along with Bob Wallace and Phil Davis.

"White Christmas" will continue through December 20, 2015 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7:30PM and Sunday afternoon matinees at 2:00PM.

As an observer, the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts has made bold moves to make securing season tickets beneficial. For one thing, season ticket holders are allowed to select their seats at the beginning of the season. Then on the performance of your choice, your seats have "reserved" draped over them. Check with the theatre to learn of other perks for being a seasons ticket holder.

The Murfreesboro Center for the Arts is at 110 W. College Street. Visit their website at www.BoroArts.org. You can also phone the theatre at 615-904-ARTS (2787).
