Middle Tennessee State University expanding the opportunity for second through fifth grade students to learn the Chinese language. The school's Confucius Institute and Center for Educational Media is offering a cable television class "A Bridge for Better Understanding: Chinese Language and Culture". The 16-lesson series that will begin at 9:00 o'clock Tuesday morning, September 13th through Wednesday, April 18, 2012 on MTSU's cable channel 9.
Qiuyuan "Jessica" Tang will lead the instruction with students from Homer Pittard Campus School and other area schools in the university's TV studio for a live, interactive experience.
