Mooreland Lane is typically known as a quite country road in Murfreesboro. However, the scenic road changed on Monday.

A 24-year old man told authorities that he noticed a man waiving his hands in distress while driving down Mooreland Lane near Rucker Lane and decided to pull over to help. Once stopped, the victim said the unknown man jumped in his car and pulled out a gun while demanding money. The victim drove the 40 to 45 year old black male to an ATM machine and was then told to drive the subject back to Mooreland Lane.

Once the two were back on Mooreland Lane, the armed bandit hit the victim over the head. After the victim was hit over the head, the subject fled on foot.

Detectives are investigating, but no arrest has been made.
