A substation in Murfreesboro has gone down, causing a large portion of Murfreesboro to loose electricity. The substation that went down is located on Jones Boulevard off of Northfield. Amy Byers with Murfreesboro Electric told WGNS that substation supplys electricity to a large number of homes and businesses in our community. No word on why the substation went down.
