The Hispanic Heritage will be celebrated at the Discovery Center on September the 16th in Murfreesboro. The 5:30 event is free and open to the public thanks to a grant from The Nissan Foundation.
Visitors can explore the traditions of Hispanic culture, create masterpieces in creation station, and experience dramatic and visual art performances by students at Hobgood Elementary, Bradley Academy, Mitchell Nielsen Elementary and the Discovery School at Reeves Rogers. Plus, listen to the beautiful sounds of traditional Hispanic music and enjoy food provided by La Siesta as well as dishes prepared by Murfreesboro City Schools ELL adult students.
This is a family-oriented event that engages the community at large to enjoy a night of fun. This year expect an event full of culture, folklore, Latin music and food.
