New England Storms Cancel Flights And Cancels Talk Tonight At MTSU

Winter storms in the midwest and east coast are forcing the cancellation of flights. Thus the community brain exercise class that was to have been held at MTSU tonight (Monday, 2/8/2016) has been cancelled.

The folk at MTSU assure us that Harvard's talk by Dr. John Ratey will be rescheduled.

In fact, his topic-- winter blues by learning how to use the body to strengthen the mind, seems to be his downfall tonight. The winter blues has the good doctor socked in to New England.

So don't head over to the Student Union Building tonight to hear Dr. Ratey, as he will not be there.

Again, we are told that MTSU will reschedule the talk by this internationally recognized expert in neuropsychology, has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles and eight books, including "Driven to Distraction" and "Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain."

When rescheduled, the event will be free and open to the public. For more information, contact Kristi Phillips, instructor in the Department of Health and Human Performance, at 615-904-8326 orkristi.phillips@mtsu.edu.
