An unknown person or persons fired at least six rounds towards the home of Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold. At this point it is not know who fired the shots, but no injuries were reported. It is being described as a drive by shooting.

When the shooting occurred just after nightfall on Monday, the Sheriff, his wife and children were in their Osborne Lane area home.

Murfreesboro Police and Sheriff Deputies were on the scene within minutes. The case is under investigation.
