Around 7:00 o'clock Saturday night (3/5/2016) Murfreesboro Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Medical Center Parkway, about 500-feet past the intersection of Thompson Lane.

A full-size Dodge Ram pickup truck and a compact car were at the entrance to the strip center where Carrabba's Italian Grill is located. In fact, the pick-up came to rest on the roadside curb, about 100-feet from the sidewalk that goes into the restaurant.

First responders from Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue were on-the-scene almost instantly, followed by several units from the Murfreesboro Police Department and paramedics from Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services. Medical help was close, as St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital's ER was about 2,000 feet away.

Police are conducting an investigation to determine what caused the Saturday night crash that brought inbound (toward Broad) traffic flow on Medical Center Parkway to a trickle for almost an hour.
