County unemployment rates for January 2016, released today, show the rates decreased in 82 counties, increased in 12, and remained the same in one county.

Here in Rutherford County, the unemployment rate was the third lowest in the state at three-point-seven percent. That's just behind Davidson County's three-point-six and Williamson County's three-point-two.

Clay County reported the highest unemployment rate, at seven-point-nine percent.
