We have more news on that dog that was found hanging in the yard of a family that we told you about on Wednesday. Apparently, the dog was a family pet. The Siberian Husky was only 10-months of age when killed by unknown persons on Karstridge Road in Smyrna. Juanita Phariss says her 18-year old daughter made the gruesome discovery. Evidently, the dogs chain was wrapped around a high tree branch around six times and the chain was used to hang the beloved pet. Phariss says that there is no possible way for the dog to have hung himself around the branch by accident. The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident as an animal abuse / animal cruelty case.
