Tourism is UP in Rutherford County

Tourism has grown by 71% in the Mid-Cumberland region which includes Rutherford County. The numbers show that more tourist are spending dollars in Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, Wilson counties in the last 10 years.

Comparatively, Tennessee has experienced a 53.9% increase in demand over the same time period.

In November of 2015, the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce reported that for the first time in the history of our community, over 1 million hotel rooms have been sold within a running 12-month period (November 2014 through October 2015).

The Chamber reports that the numbers reflect an 8.7% increase over the last 12 months in hotel stays.
