Dr. Jim Boerner, a local obstetrician and gynecologist, was nominated by several listeners for his caring way of bringing that new "bundle of joy" into their family. In fact, Dr. Boerner delivered the last baby at the old hospital on Highland Avenue and a few hours later made the first delivery at our new hospital on Medical Center Parkway.
