Resisting arrest and felony possession of cocaine are two of the charges that a Murfreesboro man faces. When police pulled the suspect vehicle over on South University Street, officers learned through a National Crime and Information Center computer check that they should use caution when approaching suspect Kentory Sanders. The NCIC records check revealed that Sanders has a past attempted murder charge and is known in the crime database as being a person who may be involved in gang activity.  After a brief struggle to get Sanders out of the vehicle, he was placed in handcuffs and taken to jail. Over one thousand dollars in cash was also seized from Sanders. Police also confiscated cocaine that he allegedly had in his possession at the time of the traffic stop.
