The Islamic Center of Murfreesboro has raised over $960-thousand dollars to help cover the cost of new construction. According to their website, their goal is to reach $1.8-million dollars. Despite their hefty fundraising, they have yet to find a contractor to undertake the construction of a mosque. If they are able to find a contractor within the next couple of weeks to begin construction on Veals Road, then the project should be complete in about 12-months.
