Women are encouraged to wear blue casual attire, while men are asked to wear black casual clothing.  Highlight of the night will be an “Iron Chef” style food cooking competition featuring top chefs from Blue facing off against top chefs from area restaurants. Food samplings from the competition will be fed to event patrons following the competition.

“We are extremely excited to announce what we feel will become a signature annual event in Rutherford County,” First Shot Foundation director Andy Herzer said of the inaugural 2011 Ladies Night Black & Blue fundraiser. “We are always looking for new and unique ways to raise funds for the Foundation, and partnering with Blue Restaurant & Bar and our other great sponsors should make for an event that will be a great night of fun and entertainment.”

Tax deductible donations to attend 2011 Ladies Night Black & Blue are $50 per person or $90 per couple. Tickets are available at Blue Restaurant & Bar at 810 Northwest Broad Street, Suite 222; Chill Wine & Spirits at 2445 Memorial Boulevard; and at FirstShotBasketball.net.

Sponsors of 2011 Ladies Night Black & Blue are Blue Restaurant & Bar, Jim Beam Whiskey, Best Brands, Chill Wine & Spirits, Liquid Smoke and Penny’s Closet.

First Shot Foundation is a nonprofit organization that targets underserved youths in Rutherford County. Funds from the event will directly support five youth camps at Patterson Park Community Center. “I have witnessed the works of First Shot Foundation since its inception in 2003 and have seen so many youths impacted positively,”
Blue Restaurant & Bar managing partner Greg Pogue said. “This should be a great event for a great cause.”
