Families will be honoring State Senator Bill Ketron at an event Wednesday, September 21st at 2pm. Their children now have access to hearing aids, due to the passage of legislation inTennessee requiring that insurance companies cover them. Countless families and many statewide agencies, including the host of the event, the Tennessee Disability Coalition, labored in support of this legislation. The event has been organized to show their appreciation for Senator Ketron’s leadership in passing hearing aid coverage for children, which was signed into law by Governor Haslam in May.

Morris Hamby, the constituent who initially contacted Senator Ketron to discuss the need for this law, will be in attendance with his son, James. Hamby will co-present a certificate of appreciation to Senator Ketron, with Tamala Bradham, Ph.D., CCC-A, a pediatric audiologist and advocate on behalf of this law.
