Saturday (9/16/2011) turned out to be a perfect day for the Greenway Arts Festival at the Old Fort Park. Temperatures in the low 80s kept the crowds shopping well after the designated 4:00PM closing time.

The event is hosted by Friends of the Greenway and featured artists selling their works along the greenway trail: oils, acrylics, watercolors, pottery, silversmithing, sculpture, glass and more! There were musicians on the stage, food vendors and activities for children.

"It's just a cool event. You're on the banks of the historic Stones River, tucked in amongst the trees and accompanied by an array of talented artists. The Greenway Arts Festival is a unique experience and something I enjoy participating in each year."- Artisan Don Sharley
