An arrest warrant has been issued by the Rutherford County Grand Jury for Quantavios Dance for giving false information to law enforcement (TCA 39-16-501). The charge stems from the March 18th homicide investigation at the Vie Apartments in which Donte Johnson of Memphis was shot and killed.
Sgt. Kyle Evans with M-P-D tells NewsRadio WGNS the false information provided by Dance was intended to obstruct or hinder the investigation in order to prevent the apprehension of a suspect. Investigators believe that Dance may have returned to the west Tennessee area including his
home town of Humboldt.
Investigators have identified persons of interest and are actively developing this case, despite the intentional misleading by Dance and others. Anyone with information about the location of Dance or about the homicide, please call the CID at 615-893-2717 or Crimestoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867).
