Senator Harris kicks of millennial mixer series in Murfreesboro

Senate Minority Leader Lee Harris from Memphis, TN will kick off a series of events to engage young people in Tennessee politics with The Future of Our State: A Millennial Mixer on June 22 in Murfreesboro.

"We know there are progressive-minded young people all over Tennessee who are dissatisfied with the state of politics in our state," Senate Minority Leader Lee Harris said. "This is a chance to bring together young people in Murfreesboro around the issues that really matter to our communities, in this case issues of tolerance and breaking away from our divisive past."

The featured guest speaker will be Carlos Moore, a Mississippi attorney who is suing that state to have Confederate imagery removed from the state flag. More on that here:
